Our crossboarding experience from Singapore to Genting Highlands in Malaysia was so smooth. The luxury bus that took us there has given us that comfort feels which you needed most in almost 6 hours on the road.
We booked our accomodation at Awana Resort which is the only place in Genting where you can relax and enjoy the beauty of nature. It is located in the midland part of the mountain and it takes 30 minutes before you reach the highlands from the resort. I love its quiet and so close to nature ambience. It has swimming pool and a golf course and I couldn't think of any other place to relax on my birthday but at this resort which is not too far away from the prime area, amusement park and casinos but will definitely brings you that quiet "ME TIME" that you need.
After checked in, our first stop was at the restaurant where you can only get a nice spot to connect on their wi-fi. We have not converted our US dollars to ringgit yet so we have no other choice but to use credit card to pay the bill. Oh goodluck on the forex rate charge. Haha. I enjoyed my big burger and when I say big it is actually BIG! It was like Me vs. Food. Haha.
It is definitely a late lunch with a view :)
We roamed around the resort before we get to our room to get some rest. Here's to the amazing view of the resort.
Around 5PM when we decided to get to the highlands to check what the prime area has to offer. What amazed me most is this part of Malaysia, a mountain at that has everything that you need. Luxurious hotels, department stores, indoor amusement park and course casinos everywhere.
We went back to the hotel almost midnight. I can't wait to hit the sack. That night, I dreamt of my late father and wanted to hug him and tell him how much I love him in my dream. I know that he appeared to tell me to live the life I always wanted because in my dream, we were in the car and he was taking the wheel. A way of saying that he will always be there to guide me on the path to my happiness. When I woke up I found some tears stained on my pillow. I missed him so much and I know that the pain of losing him will never go away after 16 days of his passing up to this lifetime.

It was a gloomy day but hey it was my birthday. We started off our day at the golf club. Foggy morning we got there.
Our first stop for the day was at the Genting skyway where we experienced the cable ride. The shuttle to this part of genting is different from the usual route to the highlands. When we were buying tickets, the teller told us if we wanted one way or two-way ticket. Our fear of getting lost if we will not be able to come back to where we at has made us decide to buy two-way tickets just only to realize that the cable car will alight us at the other part of the highland which of course we are already familiar with. Haha.
And hey look, when you are in Malaysia you will never get lost because of their vocabularies are quite the same. Our U is O and our I is E on theirs. Interesting!
And here's to our genting skyway experience.
After lunch, we look for some pasalubong items. We were happy that we bought some pieces of apparel and almost all the stores were on sale :)
After the first part of our shopping, we headed back to our hotel because I was not feeling very well and it must be the weather. So cold.
We went back to the highlands for dinner. Our first choice was at the Olive Restaurant located at the lobby of the Genting Grand Hotel but too expensive for a meal. The cheapest price on the menu is RM89 and that's only an appetizer. Haha. We ended up at the affordable Chinese Resto with a nice food too.
After dinner, we played at the casino and me trying out my birthday luck but I guess I was not that lucky at all. I lost 20SGD. Yes, singaporean currency is accepted in all casinos in Genting. Eventhough I lost a not so huge amount of money, I enjoyed the whole experience and left the place nothing but with joyful heart. And so that how I spent my 17th birthday :P

Goodbye Genting! Your cold weather to the highest altitude will be missed. Kuala Lumpur, see you in a bit :)
We have reached Kuala Lumpur around 3 o'clock in the afternoon. We booked our accomodation at the Furama Hotel in Bukit Bintang. Since it was my first time to book in an executive suite, I found out that the check in area for the guests on these rooms was different. We were entertained at the executive lounge with free coffee and cocktail meals. That VIP feels then. Haha.
Here's to the executive lounge where we availed off our free coffee with a majestic view of the Petronas twin tower.
And here's the view from our executive room at the 25th floor.
On our way to Pavillon to meet our friend from Malaysia, we saw this huge H&M store and can't help but to do the Part 2 of our shopping galore.
If you are the person who's into walking then you got it babe. We had a very long walk from Bukit Bintang to KLCC just to see the iconic Petronas Twin tower. Believe me, it was a restless feet worthy. So amazingly beautful. Those who made it were genius.
And thank you to our great host. Our friend Kryz who let us experience our Malaysian cuisine feast.

Our last day in KL was spent for another shopping spree. If you are in KL, you're going to be a shopping crazy.
It was indeed a great food and shopping experience in Malaysia. Will definitely come back for another shopping spree :)
