Amazing Thailand.

A week before the trip I had a half-hearted feeling whether to push through Thailand or not.

05.04.13.

As always, I love an early flight so I still have a lot of time to visit the tourist destinations after the arrival. We stayed in an old hotel in Pasay near the airport as we need to be there at 4:00AM. Again, I think I had this creepy experience with an old hotel/building, I had a bad dream.

Before take off, we had our early breakfast at the airport lounge. At exactly 6:05AM our airbus flew us to Thailand.

I was always fascinated with clouds. Took this shot before we land at the ground of the Amazing Thailand.

Again, it was a smooth touch down with Cebu Pac. We arrived safe and sound and on time :)

One of the best international airports I've ever seen.

We also had a smooth checked in, the Immigration officer was so friendly.

But we had a hard time conversing with the taxi driver that brought us to our hotel. He cannot speak in straight English so I just decided to keep quiet and just look outside to see the views we're passing by.

It was raining cats and dog when we left the airport but it was sunny when we reached Khaosan Road where our hotel at.

I always believe we've got a fair deal accomodation. Felt like HOME.  We rested for an hour before we visit Bangkok's temples. Time check was 11:00 in the morning. Thailand is one hour ahead of the Philippines.

We had a quick lunch at McDonalds located at the ground floor of our hotel before the tour guide picked us up for a city tour. When I said, I want an upsize, the crew gave me such a huge fries and drink. Huh! Good thing, I also got a big appetite :))

At exactly 1:00 in the afternoon, our tour guide picked us up from the hotel with her sedan. She took us for a city tour to see the city life and to visit Bangkok's temples.

Our first stop was the temple where Rama V lived. He was the youngest Rama at the the age of 15. Has 62 wives, 112 children but died at 48.

We also fed these lovely doves with bread and oh is it Italy yet?

After this we went straight to Golden Buddha.

I did some meditation and it has helped me cleared out my mind to make such a big decision.

We saw a lots of monks at Wat Pho Temple and couldn't help but to ask if I can have a picture with them. They agreed but my tour guide told me not to touch any of them. It's a big No-No if you touch them. I didn't get the exact rationale but did ensure I will go by the rules :)

I was also amazed of the standing, sitting and the reclining buddha. The weather was humid that day so I felt like so filthy and wanted to go back to the hotel to get a quick shower.

On our way to the hotel we still didn't know how to get there to Cambodia the next day by not taking a flight's off. We asked our tour guide for a recommendation and she brought us to a travel agency to buy tickets to a shuttle which will bring us to Cambodia by land.

Before we travelled to Thailand, we already read a lots of blogs which helped us to know which ones are Yey or Nay. We've read about the modus operandi of one of the travel agencies that will sell us expensive shuttle van tickets to Cambodia. We were warned but we really didn't know what happened. We still get swayed by the travel agency's manager pursuasive words. We we're like were not in our usual self as we came back to the hotel. We believe, we've got hypnotized :(

Before we got back to our hotel, we looked for something to buy at Khaosan Road.

We'd love to try their street foods but decided not to due to sanitation issues :) Forgive me---Maarte ako when it comes to food :P

We just had a quick shower because we still want to see the Grand Palace. After an hour we left the hotel again and walked from there until we reach the Grand Palace. Did you know that Bangkok has a travel map posted at the trees which could help you get the direction. Really amazing :)

Along the way, we passed by a park and stayed there for a while.

Too late to realize that Grand Palace entrance closes at 3:00 PM so we were not able to see what's inside. But you can see how beautiful the Grand Palace is from where I stood.

We've decided to look for a starbucks to chill but agreed to just get a sumptous dinner.

We passed by Baan Chart and decided to have our almost late dinner. There was an acoustic night where the singer was Pinoy. We knew it by the way he speak :)

05.05.13

Rise and Shine. Out to get some breakfast. Oh there was starbucks :)

Oh such a cute Ronald McDonald. Like a monk.

We just love this swimming pool at the rooftop of our hotel :)

By 7:00 AM, the travel agency picked us up for a trip going to Cambodia. True to their words, they arrived on time. Maybe they recieved the information that we filed a complaint againts them at the police station. But I doubt because the officers we've talk to a night before didn't want to help.

Before crossing the border, we had a stop over to get some snacks :)

This was the smallest coke in can I have ever seen.
