Hong Kong: Live it. Love it.

My first international flight so it feels like a night before my first date. I was excited. Bags were packed and so ready to go.

03.01.12

Get Stamped. Yipee. See you Hong Kong in a bit.

Touch down Hong Kong. We arrived at 8:00 am. Safe and sound. I highly recommend to visit the Hong Kong tourism board located inside the airport to check what HK has to offer. Their giveaway leaflets has helped us find the beautiful tourist destinations. Guess how much my pocket money was in a 3- day stay. Just HKD 350 bucks. Believe it or not. If you will be travelling with friends. I would suggest to set a budget to spend, collect all the money and from the collective cash you'll be able to manage how to spend your money wisely ( foods, transportation fees)of course the shopping money will be out from your pocket separately. There are lots of money exchange booth in the area where you can also trade your peso into HKD in case you'll be running out of dollars and you've only have peso left in your wallet.

Our Accomodation in HK----Silka Seaview Hotel. A place to recommend in HK since this is located at the very heart of the Kowloon City. Very near the MTR stations and you've love to shop at the nearby night markets. It is also near Nathan Rd and what I so love about it was the bed---so soft and comfy. Facilities are good--thou you need to pay HKD20/hour for the wi-fi connection :P

We went out to look for something to eat for lunch. And so this is Kowloon.

Our first meal. Sweet adobo---Hong Kong Style. Not bad.
One of best places that HK has to offer is their theme parks. We first visited the Ocean Park. Entrance fee is  HKD320. One day fun and excitement experience where we enjoyed the cable ride , oceanarium trip, dolphins'  treat and the dancing fountain show before the amusement park closes. It was superb. I was amazed. We also met a lot of Filipino friends there. And to top it all, I enjoyed the  amazing views  and the cool breeze with a temperature of 15 degrees.

CITY TOUR.

Time to visit the different landmarks. While waiting for our tourist bus at the hotel lobby we've met a beautiful family who's staying in the same hotel and we have the same city tour package that made me a bit excited. Our first stop was the Avenue of Stars. I enjoyed the view and managed to strike a pose at the famous Bruce Lee's momument. There was also a Starbucks there that adds up to my excitement. Perfect place to watch people while I was having my favorite Mocha Frap :)

Our next stop was the Jumbo Kingdom. We rode in a small boat. Amazing views all the way to the main destination.

Here you go, my almighty. Welcome to the Jumbo Kingdom.

Our next stop was the Victoria Park. You'll love the view from the top. We stopped at the Mid-Peak and saw this twin tower.

We also tried the Sampan Ride. It cost us  $HK50 and thought that was not really bang for the buck. The only consolation was you know HK history through how locals still living in a floating boat.

We also visited Jackie Chan's Jewelry shop. We met an artist and he made me a wrist paint. Cool :)

What is city tour if you don't explore Tsim Sha Tsiu where you can see a lot of big signature stores.

We also strolled along the busy streets of Nathan Road. Malls are everywhere. Ahhh, HK is really one of the best places to shop :)

Oh did I mention that we got lost in Hong Kong. Hell yeah, that was when we tried to look for the Temple Street where you can see one of the night markets.

Disneyland. Here we come.

I was a bit excited that got a fever a night before the most awaited day in Hong Kong but that wouldn't stop me for wanting to see the amazingly beautiful Disneyland. Feels like a kid thou excited for a new ride :)

We left the hotel at around 6:00AM then  arrived Disneyland at around 7:00AM. I didn't expect that temperature will drop to 7 degrees Freezing cold that I almost thought I could die of hypothermia attack. Not to mention that I was sick a night before but I temporarily forgot I was out and cold when I saw Disneyland. Woohoo :)

Everyone wants to take a picture with Mickey on the background and so did I. Aww this shot was so sweet. I love you, Mickey :)

Aww flowers how I love thee.

Just to ease the cold feeling that triggers to the very nerve of my bones we watched the Pillar Magic Show in 3D 4x in a row :)) This was our first stop.

Alrighty, time to stroll around and enjoy every rides.

The themepark' highlight. The parade of stars where most of the entertainers are Filipinos.

My most awaited float. Oh wait. I should have been there standing with my co-princesses :P

It was indeed a small world afterall, so enjoy it just like I did when I was in Hong Kong.

Til my next stop.

Travels and Beyond.

I want to see the world and share to the world what I have seen :)

Tara.
